Medication and driving
Some students with ADHD or ADD use medication such as dexamphetamine or methylphenidate (e.g., Ritalin) . It's important to know that medication can affect your driving ability . Some medications actually improve your concentration, but always discuss what's safe with your doctor . The CBR ( Central Office for Motor Vehicle Driver Testing) can also assess whether your medication affects your driving ability and whether adjustments are needed.

People with ADHD or ADD can drive safely and effectively. ADHD or ADD often primarily causes concentration challenges, but this doesn't mean you can't be a good driver .
